ABOUT US

WHO ARE WE?

The Wander Therapy is an inclusive travel media platform that offers honest, detailed and helpful reviews that you can trust. Our travel guides, tips and itineraries are aimed at empowering YOU and ALL kinds of travelers.

We aim to cater to a diverse community of travelers, including specially-abled travel enthusiasts, travelers from the LGBTQ+ community, people with pets and toddlers, pregnant travelers, vegan and vegetarian travelers, solo travelers, sustainable travelers and more.

OUR APPROACH & VALUES

Inclusivity & diversity – We are serious about inclusivity and authenticity. Hence, if you’re reading an article about traveling with disabilities, an actual specially-abled writer has written it. Similarly, if you are reading about traveling with pets, a real pet parent has written it. The same applies for other kinds of categories such as vegan-friendly travels, senior-friendly travels, toddler-friendly travels, etc.

Honesty and transparency – All our reviews are free of bias and written by content producers who actually experience the respective destination/stay before writing their honest reviews for The Wander Therapy.

If we felt that a particular stay was not up to the mark and worth writing about, you will not find it on our website, even if it was sponsored content. Don’t worry, it means we’ll cancel the collaboration rather than recommending a bad stay and giving you a dishonest review.

EDITORIAL POLICIES

Unbiased & free of AI – We feel very strongly about content integrity and staying true to our readers. Thus, you can be assured that any content you read/watch across our website and social media platforms are free of bias and AI-produced work.

Detailed & informative – We know you come to our site for valuable and useful information related to your travels. So we leave no stone unturned to ensure that any topic we touch upon offers you a 360 degree view of the destination or stay. Even if we are writing an article based on secondary research and without personal experience, we make sure to source credible information from locals and tourists who have a real experience of the topic.

FOUNDER’S STORY

Our founder, Sharmistha Maji, has had a successful 10-year stint in journalism, which includes publications like The Times of India, DNA (Dainik Bhaskar) and The New Indian Express. Her work in the media industry ranges from being a lifestyle journalist, editing hardcore news stories, creating front pages of newspapers, to being an editor of a successful digital marketing company.

After turning vegan in 2019 to avoid animal abuse, she has traveled to 22+ destinations within India to explore each place’s vegan culinary specialties, natural landscapes, cultures, architecture and history. Just say ‘travel’ or ‘food’ around her and she instantly lights up!

OUR TEAM

We are a bunch of passionate content producers who love what we do. Traveling excites, rejuvenates and empowers us, while writing articles is almost second nature to us. But each one of us are unique and come with our own strengths and varied reasons for traveling.
