Pallabi completed a decade as an entertainment journalist and film critic—contributing to The Times of India, Bombay Times, Filmfare, Hindustan Times, WION, Firstpost, Deccan Chronicle, and more—before deciding to follow her true passion and become a freelance travel writer. She has traveled to various offbeat destinations across India –– from an overnight camping trip to the lesser-known Tulian Lake in Kashmir, to living with strangers for months in a remote Himachal village called Tung, and making a hamlet called Sharai her base for half a year. She has also trekked the mighty Annapurna Circuit route in Nepal, and watched dolphins dancing deep in the Arabian Sea off Oman. Besides completing her BA in English and PG in Broadcast Journalism, she has writing certifications from Xavier's Institute of Communications (Mumbai) and The British Council (Delhi).
