The adventure had begun right from the time we set our foot on the Himalayan land. With each winding turn on the bus ride, the chill of Himachal Pradesh hit our faces. Along the way, the aroma of delicious roadside food awakened our senses. We were heading to Bir Billing.

Paragliding in Bir is a must-do for anyone visiting the area. It was one of the most memorable adventures of my life, especially as someone who loves heights. My family and I shared this experience, overcoming our fears and marveling at the breathtaking scenery during the 15 minutes up in the air. We soared like birds, enjoying a bird’s eye view of the land. 

Depending on our comfort level, our instructors made a few of us experience the 360-degree spins, which was one of the most exhilarating parts. Our entire journey was captured on GoPro cameras, with stunning mid-air photos of the stunning landscape.

Additionally, the presence of monks residing in this historical site, who warmly smile at you, further enhances the positive vibe of the place. It is truly a must-visit destination when in Bir Billing.

Each color symbolizes one of the five elements (sky, cloud, fire, water, earth) as well as the five directions (north, south, east, west, center). How Long Does It Take To Get There From Bir: The trek or jeep ride starts from Chaugan, which is approximately 15.8 km away from Billing. The journey takes 45 minutes to an hour, depending on whether you’re trekking or driving.
