Best Part About Our Visit To Sai Teerth Devotional Theme Park Shirdi
The most interesting and fun aspect of Sai Teerth Devotional Theme Park has to be the Teerth Yatra.
Once we made ourselves comfortable in the toy train, the dark platform lit up in vibrant colors. A soothing audio combined with soulful music started narrating what we were about to experience.
As the train chugged off, we witnessed beautifully-crafted miniature replicas of India’s famous pilgrim destinations — from Kedarnath in northern India to Meenakshi Temple in the south, Western India’s Dwaraka Temple to Puri Temple in the east.
The models also featured miniature human elements like priests and devotees, adding a realistic touch to the journey. There were intricate carvings on the pillars to mimic the architecture of the original temples.
It was truly exciting to go on a complete spiritual tour of India right in Shirdi!
8 Things To Do In Sai Teerth Devotional Theme Park Shirdi
Shirdi’s Sai Teerth Devotional Theme Park is an indoor, air-conditioned amusement park with 4 major attractions that you can cover during your visit. It also houses other recreational spots that together make for a complete spiritual entertainment package. Here are the best things to do at the Shirdi theme park:
# 1. Go For The Interesting Theerth Yatra – Take an audio-visual toy train ride through miniature versions of 10 most revered pilgrimage sites of India. These include Tirupati, Siddhivinayak Mandir and Badrinath. We found it to be the most enthralling experience of the theme park.
# 2. Get Mesmerized At The Animatronics Show – Named Dwarkamai, this show actually brought a lifesize replica of Sai Baba on the stage using animatronics. The setup was made in the model of Dwarkamai, where Sai Baba used to reside. As we watched, it appeared as if Sai Baba himself was speaking in front of us!
# 3. Experience Exciting 5D Shows – They offer two 5D shows called Lanka Dahan and Kaliya Mardan. We watched the former. It actually felt like we were moving along with Lord Hanuman, as he put Lanka in flames to teach Ravana a lesson! The 5D experience included motion combined with real elements like water and air.
# 4. Enjoy The Laser Show – Organized in the evenings after the aarti’s completion, the laser show is a free event in which Sai Baba’s journey is projected on a giant wall with lights, music and audio narration.
TWT Tip: The 15-minute show happens only once after sunset (post 7 pm) and its timings depend on the season. Make sure to enquire about the show’s schedule during your visit, so that you don’t end up missing it.
#. 5. Watch A Feature Film On Sai Baba’s Life – At this attraction called Sabka Malik Ek, we got to watch a one-hour movie on Sai Baba’s journey in a professional cinema theater. It traced the entire life of Baba since he was first spotted in Shirdi till the time of his death.
# 6. Have A Delicious Meal At The Food Court – The Shirdi theme park houses a large food court, which serves beverages, snacks and full meals in an open-to-air ambience. You can choose from noodles, pizzas, street food such as Pav Bhaji and Chole Puri, or South Indian tiffins like Dosa, Uthapam and Vada.
# 7. Shop For Souvenirs – You will also find souvenir shops where you can purchase devotional-themed Tshirts, coffee mugs, and more. If you’re someone like us who has a habit of taking home a little souvenir from every trip, this is a great place to check out. We bought a nice fridge magnet that featured the text ‘Shirdi’.
# 8. Get A Professional Photograph – Sai Teerth Devotional Theme Park offers beautiful spaces with water fountains, golden walls and a spiritual ambience. You can hire one of their professional photographers to get an Insta-worthy picture of yourself.
